Novice interpreters aspiring to achieve RID National Interpreter Certification (NIC) need to gain supervised work experience. Many also benefit from formal certification test preparation.
Certification preparation may include an overview of the NIC test protocol, opportunities to reflect on and practice responding to ethical challenges, interpreting performance with supported self-assessment and constructive feedback, and resources for continued study and preparation.
